Five for Friday

Here I am again.
Five for Friday with Kacey from Doodlebugs (first grade rocks).

ONE

I was out sick on Monday, we had a snow day on Tuesday, I worked Wednesday and Thursday, and we are going on a field trip today!!!

We're going to the Ho Tung Visualization Lab at Colgate University. They put on such a wonderful day for us. I am so excited!

TWO

We are gearing up for our formal observation next week.
I am trying something new this year. I went to a workshop on Project Based Learning. I fell in love with the concept and am implementing it into my classroom this year. I really think my firsties are going to get so much out of it. I am laying the groundwork right now and when we get back from Spring Break we are really going to get into it.
Due to the snow day this week, my observation is on the last day before our Spring Break!!! OH NO!!!

THREE

We have been working on TENS for the first part of our math unit.
I have a couple products I have put together to make it a little more fun for my firsties.

This little on is an adaptation from a game we play in Investigations.
It's just like "Go Fish" but you yell out "Rotten Eggs!"
My kiddos LOVE it. The "cards" are shaped like eggs!

I am still working on this one. It's another game adapted from Investigations.
You lay cards out and try to find as many ways to make 10 as possible.
I will try to finish this one up tonight. :)

FOUR

We are gearing up for the intense part of rehearsal for OLIVER. If you didn't read about it before, my daughter and I are in it together. We haven't had any rehearsals together yet, Saturday is the first! :)

FIVE

How many more teaching days until Spring Break....oh yeah FOUR!!!
 WOO HOO!!!
We are not doing anything very exciting, but I am excited none-the-less.
Who isn't???

Here's a photo of one of my son's flower bunches from the show last weekend. Our florist is a genius. Who would have thought of an artichoke heart being so pretty in flowers? And so different, because what boy REALLY wants flowers right?
I have been dreaming of flowers. We just have to get rid of this SNOW!!!

Have a wonderful day!!!
