Planetarium Field Trip

We had such a good time at the Planetarium today. We went to the greenhouse, geology museum, and the  planetarium at Colgate College. Did I mention that it was FREE????

What a lovely day!
We went to the greenhouse and looked at all the plants. The leader told us about the most interesting plants and then the kiddos got to plant their own sunflower.
Then we went into the geology lab. The leader talked about all the interesting things there are in the museum. They have a REAL dinosaur EGG!!!! AWESOME!!!
They completed a scavenger hunt with a friend and then it was time for the main event.
We piled into the Vis Lab (planetarium). I actually had to sit on the floor. Which worked out well anyway. Two of my most precious firsties needed some extra "attention". :)
It was so cool!

What are your field trips? How many do you get a year?

Have a wonderful day!

  3. What a fun field trip . . . your photos are fantastic! We take a few each year, but with money being tight, parents have to pay if they can. Our 1st graders typically go to a live play performance, the local museum, and we go on a community field trip. The last one always makes me sweat a lot because we get on and off the bus multiple times (fire department, bank, library, post office, and the park). Thanks for sharing . . . I am now a follower :)
