My students wrapped up their Shel Silverstein poetry unit today.
They recited several poems to their parents, peers, and second grade friends.
I am so proud of them!
I wish I could have video taped some of them. They were so animated!

I am considering implemeting the daily 5 in my classroom next year because of all the blogs about how wonderful it is. How many students do you have? I will have at least 23.
ReplyDeleteI am your latest follower, keep the daily 5 blogs coming.

The book is so easy to read. It is a lot of work upfront. Just getting them into the routines and building stamina. I HIGHLY recommend it!
DeleteThis year I have 19 students. We average around 20.
I can't wait to check out your blog.
Just joined as a follower. I'm so jealous that your students can do listen to reading on the computer. We only have 1 teacher computer in the classroom. We have access to a small bank of computers, but it is a shared set just outside the classroom. If I can get regular volunteers, I might be able to pull it off. Stop by my blog for a visit.
