Literacy Camp with first and second graders. We had a Literacy Camp 
day. Oh, it was so much fun. We put up our tents and set out our blankets for reading and writing.It turned out to be such a beautiful day.
The students chose which "stations" would be featured for the day.
Science: Observing and writing about the butterflies the second graders had hatched.

Story Telling: Writing
Books sorted by different genres and authors.
We are going to do so much more next year. We are planning a "campfire" Morning Meeting. S'mores and so much more.
There were two classes participating this year. Next year, we have two more joining us already.
It was a great way to wind down, have fun, and still be working on things that are important in first grade.
