Snow Day!!!

Yesterday we had a snow day. Out of nowhere...well, of course my youngest was wearing her pjs inside out and all those other things. I was going to call in sick anyway, so I got a little freebie. Woohoo!!!
I finished typing up my pre-observation form for my observation next week. Now that we have had a snow day my observation is moved to the day before our spring break. BRILLIANT!!! I know my firsties are going to be little angels!! Oh MY! I am in trouble!

Well, anyway, I did get something accomplished. My super duper friend Barb,
over at Ruby Slippers Blog Designs

just made up these fabulous umbrellas
Seriously...they are $1.50 and sooooooo soooooo cute!

that I used to make up this Compound Word Concentration game.

Click on any of the pictures above to go to my TpT store and grab it.
Don't forget about my little sale going on.

Remember to email me with your TpT name and what you purchased so I can send you your little presents. :)

Have a wonderful day!!!

RAN Strategy Chart Freebie

Hello all!
A colleague of mine is having her formal observation tomorrow. I do not envy her. As a district, I would say the average time we spend on average about 5-15 hours writing our lesson plans for our formal observation. Ridiculous!!! Anyway...My colleague was trying to scan a RAN Strategy chart and it wasn't working very well. We were talking about it. How you couldn't see the print in some parts and it just didn't look "great". So, I ran back and made up one for her with some bees on it. She is doing her observation on bees (non-fiction and fiction). Could you guess?
Then I thought that we all use these and wouldn't they look cute if they had little graphics on them to go with whatever we were working on.

So, I wanted to share them with you. Head on over to my TpT store to download them.
If you would like any other themes, shoot me an email and I will try to accommodate you.
Enjoy!
Have a wonderful day!

I was looking and looking for something to put up in my classroom until Valentine's Day.
I couldn't find anything that would fit directly above my SmartBoard.

This is from my phone. Forgive the pixeliness. :)

I can't wait to hang it up in my room on Monday!

A Little Bit of This...and A Little Bit of That...

This post will have a little bit of everything in it.
I hope you can find something you can use.

First, I posted a new product. Yes, the first one in a L_O_N_G time!!!
It's free so go download it! :)

It's something I have been meaning to create for myself. I used these all the time a few years ago. I remember that they worked great!!!
I don't know how I got out of not using them. I just know right now I am not and I NEED to. I am to the point where if I even mention the word partners, the kiddos are immediately looking around and trying to figure out who their partner is. It is one of my pet peeves.
Now, when I use these little things, they may have turned off their ears to what I am saying, but at least they aren't trying to figure out who their partner is when I am still giving directions.

It's called "Grab Your Partner".

Here are some little screen shots of the charts. Not very clear but you get the picture.

Directions on how to fill them in and use them.

Here is one of the charts.

Anyway, I hope you can use them. They are FREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

The next topic I am going to talk about is a craftivity I just started in my classroom on Friday.
The kids LOVE it!
I used Ms. C's Snowman Craftivity.
It is so cute!
Click on the picture to go check it out. It's free!

I read Snowmen at Night by Caralyn and Mark Buehner. Then we talked about how we would make a snowman. What would we do first? second? next?
We took a look at all the different things we needed to do and began coloring and cutting out the templates provided by Ms. C..

The kids are loving it. I can't wait to see their faces when we continue with our project and go deeper into more snowmen information.

Last, but certainly not least, Ms. C. is also having a giveaway.

Just Wild About Teaching

Hop on over there QUICK, QUICK, QUICK. It ends today!!!

Have a wonderful day!!!

December Already!!!

I really cannot believe that it is already December.
I have been sitting at my computer all morning trying to get my shopping in check. HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
Well, at least some of it!

We have been working on numbers to 20. Composing...Decomposing...etc.
I think my kiddos are getting sick of the regular cards and dice we have been using so I made up these cute little ones for my class. I thought I would share them with you all. This is my first freebie of December. Make sure you come back often and check. There will be many this month.

We play...

Tens Go Fish: It's just like Go Fish but you make 10. You could even make it Twenty Go Fish. I am going to try that this week!

Make 10 or 20 or whatever number you would like them to make.
It's a concentration game. They turn over cards to make a certain number.

There are so many other games you could play.
What math games are your favorites?

Enjoy the freebie and have a wonderful day!!!
