Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!!!

I am so excited for today. We are going to have a Diffendooffer Day!
Cheryl, at Primary Graffiti, had this AMAZING idea to have a Diffendoofer Day.

My kids LOVE this book.
I am so drawn to it now that things are going the way they are with tests and schools and such...well, anyway back to Diffendoofer Day!
We are all going to dress up like a student would who attended Diffendoofer School. I will definitely be posting pictures later.

We are also celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday, of course!
I found some awesome ideas on Pinterest.

Here are mine. Taken with my iPhone at 5am. Please don't judge :)

It was so much fun to open the fridge this morning and find all the FISH!

And here are my square? Green Eggs and Ham!
Do you think they will notice? Ha!

We made Thing 1 and Thing 2 yesterday. I cannot wait to show you how these turned out!

We took this idea and paired it with Mel's Freebie.

I hope you all have a Diffendoofer sort of day!

March Song Freebie and Pinterest Ideas

I posted my new March song in my TPT store.
It's FREEEEEEEE!

This one is a long one to the tune of "BINGO".
I tested my kids the other day to see if they remembered all the songs, beginning with September.
They DO!
They will either thank me for it or curse me for it :)

Pinterest Finds...Daily 5.

What did we do before Pinterest?

I went on tonight and searched for some Daily 5 resources. I just started this year. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Daily 5. I think I just need a boost in the right direction right now. Ever since we got back from vacation, my kids have decided to "forget" almost everything about the Daily 5. So, I am starting over with them. Fresh I-Charts, posters, building stamina, etc.. So, instead of pulling my hair out each day, I am going to take a GIANT step back and refocus. I know this will be better in the long run. : ) I just have to keep convincing myself this.

Here are just a few that I found:

Ok, this should get me through next week. I am hoping they "remember" where they left their Daily 5 memories. I know they are in there somewhere!
Wish me luck!

Oh, and by the way... something pretty big is coming on Wednesday!

Bigger than this!
Picture taken by my daughter, Janie 12

and make you feel like this!
